The owners of this property are an avid sailing couple and their Newport residence reflects this lifestyle with a tasteful, upscale nautical theme throughout. The cramped main entry and stair hall space needed an upgrade and expansion to create a more inviting arrival. The solution was a modest size entry addition with a bell shaped copper roof that complimented the existing architecture. Hull Cove relied on their experience working on nautical themed architecture to design a new yacht style interior complete with custom paint grade and mahogany cabinetry, curved stairs, and antique heart pine flooring with mahogany accent. Finishing touches include custom solid bronze railings and shelf supports, red LED running lights, and custom round windows.
